Glossary
The words in the product, and what they mean.
- Open loop
- A customer thread where the next move is the business’s: a question not answered, a promise not kept, a quote with no reply, or a date the customer named that has arrived.
- Follow-up
- The message that closes an open loop. In Augurfield it is drafted for you, in the thread’s language, and waits for your OK.
- Waiting on them
- A loop you have answered. It comes back to Today on a date you chose, or sooner if the customer replies.
- Receipt
- The source a fact or reason links to: the message, document, invoice or order it came from. Augurfield keeps the reference, not a copy.
- Why now
- The one line on every loop that says why it needs you today, with the phrase that matters highlighted.
- Not a loop
- Your mark that a thread needs nothing from you. Recorded so the same thread is not raised again.
- Closed by itself
- A loop the customer’s next message settled. Nothing was sent; it is recorded as such.
- Promise
- Something you said you would do, in your own words, with a date. Kept means a person marked it kept, not that a message went out.
- Quote nudge
- A follow-up on a quote with no reply. The one kind of message an owner may switch to automatic, after a set number of days.
- Play
- A repeatable follow-up as a map of steps: draft, wait, check, carry on or hand to a person. Previewed before it is switched on; every draft waits for your OK.
- Handoff
- What happens when a deal is won: each promise becomes a loop for a named person, and the owner sees them kept.
- Going quiet
- A regular customer past their usual reorder rhythm with nobody messaging them.
- Results, not activity
- What the owner sees: follow-ups sent, customers who replied, quotes confirmed, money collected, who has customers waiting. Not revenue attributed to the tool.
